General Comments

I recently opened an online Abbey ISA, which was unclear so checked in the branch. The staff were not properly trained to offer professional advice and after an altercation with the branch manager I found I was £700 overdrawn on my cash account because the ISA had been incorrectly processed. I then asked for a copy of my online ISA application form which was sent to me in the post complete with details of my Nat Ins Number, my maiden name, marital status, date of birth, full debit card number, ISA and cash account numbers and the piece de la resistance. My password. Such crass incompetence should be investigated by the Banking ombudsman and the Information Commissioner for Data Protection breaches and incompetence. Don't ISA with Abbey
