Tasteless.
Poor Value

General Comments

I purchased four tins of this product recently from my local Morrisons store.
The first tin was okish the second tin, the one i'm telling you about, was more like something my mom's basset hound does in his home garden. You can guess what I mean.
It was just sloppy mess, gritty and lumped together in a big gob and tasteless.
More taste in a basic bowl of oats.
Myself and a friend tried to eat this mess and later on suffered the consequences.
Severe stomach cramping and diarohea.
We tried emailing the company to complain but they don't reply to emails.
Having looked at the tins further we noticed it's made from mechanically separated Pork, i.e. what is used for feeding dogs.
I would have passed these on to the local dogs home but the dogs deserve better.

I am surprised to read your experience of a Westlers product because I've always found the brand to offer good value for money.

Never e-mail a food company. Write a letter. I think that your 2nd. tin must have been contaminated for you and your friend to have had the reaction you describe.
If such a thing happens again, place the package/container/tin in your freezer and WRITE A LETTER to the company. If you tell them you are preserving the packaging and whatever contents are left over with a view to contacting your local Trading Standards people, you'll soon see them move, believe me.

    It NEVER fails!!
