Good Points

Very easy to set up, good thing is you can switch between sources and also includes a from component connection, handy for transferring onto dvd's from camcorder..

Bad Points

Sometimes says its recording and when you do a playback the dvd appears BLANK, recording on this equipment doesn't mean that the disc will playback in other dvd players very annoying especially when you wanna share a recording with someone you really want to see what you have, you may have the get few buds and invite to yours or take the recorder there to playback all hassle....sometimes disc get wont respond at all and you have to unplug for 5 mins at least for it to restore...

General Comments

The Acoustic Solutions DVDRW300 is cheap, I paid £60 at Argos...... good quality recording on standard play (sp rec) can be changed to 3 other rec modes, editing feature is good for rw discs though not to buy if you want to do more than the standard rec/play.

    Hi,
You have to "finalise" the DVD before it will play on another DVD player. Got me very frustrated until I realised how to do it!
    It is very counter-intuitive!.
Let the player load the disc, and when the first screen appears (menu) before you press play, press the up arrow on the remote. You get another list of options - one of which is to finalise the disc. Click across to reach them and follow the on-screen prompts.
It should then play on all compatible players and can also be copied via a suitably equipped PC.
