The Entertainment and Staff are what keeps people coming back to this place I'm sure.
Beautiful location
Full use of more facilities at almost adjoining 'Riviera Park' resort
Many of the chalets are AWFUL.
We stayed in this Holiday resort, Park Holidays Landscove, for a week in April 2008. Our Holiday got off to a dreadful start. We had been allocated a chalet that was totally unsuitable, although I had stipulated when booking by telephone last January we needed a chalet suitable for my frail elderly Mother.
They moved us, but the next chalet was dirty and the toilet seat was broken. During the night the people in the next chalet decided to have a party with around 60 people in and out, running up and down yelling, throwing glass bottles around and generally scaring the living daylights out of us by banging on the back of the wooden chalet we were in. At 2.30am I had had enough and little me in a dressing gown went out to confront some of them. The noise went on till about 4am. As if this wasn't enough, I finally managed to get a couple hours sleep. I stormed up to Reception to air my anger and frustration at the Manager, who instead of calming the situation told me very loudly how much she was annoyed at having been called out at 3 in the morning too!!!!!
Anyway, we were finally moved to a lovely chalet. Saturday and Sunday were wasted already, having to keep moving. And what an upheaval. After that little setback our holiday was much better. The entertainment team were excellent. The park has some beautiful cliff top walks. There is much to see around Brixham.
My nine year old Son loved it so much there he didn't want to come home and cried on the last day!
So all in all, I can't knock the place too much for our bad start. We plan to return, so it must be ok. Providing you get a nice chalet. I would advise you to telephone the park and ask for a newly refurbished one as they are in fact working on some of them now. Either that or you will be safe booking a caravan, they are all in good condition. Had it not been for our bad start, I would give this place a better rating than I have.
