Absolutely bomb-proof - the heaviest rain I've seen in years hit us and we stayed warm and dry inside. The poles may be heavy, but its not a backpacking tent, so weight doesn't matter - the extra strength and durability are more important in a tent like this.
Although some may argue otherwise, it is possible to put it up on your own - I've done so several times while my wife keeps junior occupied - its not easy, and it takes a bit of forethought, but I'm no Einstein and if you follow the instructions its not too tricky.
Loads of space inside for table, chairs, cooker on a 'camping kitchen/larder' and several holdalls of toys and kit. Loads of door options to play with too - very, very versatile tent that's comfy in hot, cold, wet & dry conditions - what more could you ask? Even comes with a tent tidy - loads of hanging pockets to stash kit. Hard to fault, but a loop to attach a light inside would be handy - had to improvise. Also, and this is being really picky - extra ventilation in the side doors would be handy - at night in the summer, it can get a bit warm, despite all the built in vents - but then I've never met a tent yet that didn't have this problem and I've used many over the years. Absolutely fantastic tent - strong, easy to put up, weatherproof, really versatile - what more could anyone want in a holiday tent?
