It was sunny...
The second worst campsite I have ever stayed in.
Toilet block had no toilet roll, no hot water(when there was hot water there was no cold water so the guys in tents were still unable to wash). It was not cleaned for two of the 3 days (I won't describe the state inside, you would not believe me if I did).
The toilet block was wholly inadequate for the huge amount of tents and caravans that were on the site. 4 showers (2 of which were not working), the septic tank overflowed onto the camping field which when exposed to the full sunlight on Sunday produced an unmistakable aroma.
The entertainment complex is managed in a way that defies belief as the place where you hire/pay for things like pedal cars and crazy golf is invariably at the opposite end of the complex to the items themselves.
The Golf course is dismal, the fairways are the length of average rough ground (about 4 inches) and covered in clumps of clippings. I don't remember any bunkers and it is totally flat:-( It is fairly cheep though
The Lakeland is a dreadful Site if you are touring with a caravan and almost unthinkable if you are in a tent. Please, please please consider my experiences and all those who, like me, were complaining to the management about the hideous state of the toilet block without any effect.
I have also complained to the South Lakeland Council environmental health department about some of the things that were too dreadful to be mentioned here.
