Its so hard to train this dog not to jump up because every time you walk down the street, people invite it to jump up!!!!! What a sweet and loving breed with enough love for everyone.
You always want them around as they are such good travel companions
Can be stubborn to initially train but once you get it in their head they dont forget!
You have to leave them to train them to be alone, which doesnt help when combined with initial puppy stubborness (night crying)
We had a border for 6 months before he had an accident and passed away, but within the 4 months we had him around, it left me devastated to lose him!
Although tricky to train at first, providing you use a firm voice (and a not so firm hand due to their size, as i discovered after trainign my border collie), initial problems flatten out within days.
In the next two weeks we will be taking on another border terrier from the same breeder. I thought I'd always have border collies, but this breed has seriously swayed me with its lack of shedding, size, abiliity to learn, ability to get along with kids and even dogs 4 times its size and big personality,
