I like the fact that the fruit n veg are presented unchilled. What you see is what you get! Far too many supermarkets have these goods in chilled cabinets. How long have they been kept at such a low temperature? I picked up prewarpped broccoli today in Co-op that looked almost frozen. it had condensation on the packaging before I got to the till. Once, after shopping in Somerfield a cucumber had 'defrosted' to mush by the time I got home. How 'old' is this stuff?
I like Lidl because you get value for money and nice service in my local store. I started shopping there when money was tight for a while and haven't stopped now things are better.
I have no issues with their supposed limited range because if I want the 'extras' I can go elsewhere, but that is the exception...not the rule.
They don't have shopping baskets which would be handy if you're just in for a few bits n pieces.
I like Lidl because you get value for money and nice service in my local store. Don't knock it til you've tried it!
