mattockswinga's Review of Shanghai QB36-1
11th May 2008
Overall Rating
- Value for money

- Handling

- Accuracy

Looks good, accurate enough with the open sights, nice stock and buttplate, powerful enough for most jobs, good cocking lever release switch.
Bad Points
A touch heavy, stock marks up easily, once scope is fitted access to the breach is fiddly.
General Comments
The Shanghai QB36-1 (XS36-1) is, apparently, a shorter 'carbine' version of the XS36-2. Fair enough, I've never fired a 36-2 but have fired enough air rifles over the years to say that this is a perfectly reasonable rifle for what you pay. If you want something which will go through the eye of a needle at half a mile then go spend loads of cash on something else, if you want something that packs a punch, looks good, is functional and doesnt cost the earth then go for something along these lines, the QB36-1 (XS36-1) is fine.
