This is your typical fast paced, adrenaline pumping Koontz masterpiece. I give it an eight because it isn't the best I've read by Koontz, but it's definitely up there in the ranks. The story follows a woman with a vision for crimes who works in close conjunction with law enforcement to bring the bad guys home. The subplot involves a dark force that demands of her to delve into suppressed memories of her own that hide a dark past.
