General Comments

Alarms are a pain. Too secure for their own and the user's good. I've had the Datatool System 3 motorbike alarm on two bikes and had problems both times. It drives me nuts when the fob won't disarm it, despite new batteries. Get near any source of radio transmission (eg, refuel at the garage opposite the Crystal Palace transmitters) and you'll look a fool as you're forced to set the alarm off and use PIN override to get started. Rather cramps your style if you're thinking of coolly blasting off with a full tank. My latest bike came with it (again) and it's the worst - sometimes disarms, sometimes doesn't. As a dealer once pointed out to me, numerous are the times they loaded a bike on to their unmarked lorry, the alarm went off and nobody took any notice. When was the last time you accidentally set off your alarm and hundreds came running and plods did u-turns to investigate? Rip it out and get your mobility back!
