Good Points

Reliable.
Cheap to buy and run.
Easy maintenance.


Bad Points

All k10 micras 83-93 are getting old so they often have bad rust.
Not a lot of refinements, and my gs is not even the base model.
Suspension.


General Comments

K10 micras 1983-93 are very reliable cars even high milage 200000 ones.
They are very cheap to buy [even good ones], as they are now getting on.
Running cost are low as they are good on fuel, insurance, also parts are cheap [if not nissan items]. Parts are even cheaper if you go to a scrap yard, the second hand mechanical parts will be good just the bodywork rust tends to send them to the scrap yard.
They are easy to work on, unlike more modern cars which often need to be pluged in to a computer first.
Only bad points are rust on the body work this needs to be stooped soon, as it eats the bodywork quickly.
Also they dont have much in the way of toys, infact there is non! in the base model, mine is a GS and its very basic still, so the base model must be well basic.
Suspension on these is very soft and often need new dampers, although they are bouncey even with new suspension, so ride is not great and never was, they were built for the city and town.
Overall a cheap, reliable car and great if on a budget. They are also nippy since they do not weigh much and not bad to drive.
