Less and less as time goes by
More and more - things are beginning to look threadbare
I travel a lot with my partner who is a Virgin gold card member and has been for years. Over the past year and always in Upper Class I have noticed worsening quality in the clubhouses (dirty ones in South Africa, bad food in Heathrow) - certainly compared to Emirates first class lounges virgin is looking thin. Flight check in is at best ho hum and surlier each time. If check in staff do not like their job they should leave but I won't be paying 4-5 digit fares for surly staff. Again Emirates are amazing regarding service and attention to detail. Very very sad as I always used to look forward to virgin flights but no longer - what's more they just misplaced 18000 of my points so had 2 hours on the phone again. Not good - I am finding other airlines to fly with. Virgin are taking advantage of the sheer awfulness of BA to cut corners.
