Good Points

Good features and fair layout.


Bad Points

Very slow, frequently unusable.
Obtuse additional ID required for logging on.


General Comments

HSBC reworked their online banking a year or so ago, and what was a perfectly usable service became very slightly prettier and frequently too slow to get even as far as the logon screen. The main improvement was to avoid restricting the user to a smaller popup window - now you can browse the rest of the site and return to the account pages. This was a major complaint, but beyond that, the only positive changes seemed to be cosmetic.
