Cheap, simple pricing structure. No need to 'top up', no tie in to a contract. Can set your own credit limit and just pay for what you've used by direct debit which is convenient.
Bad Points
If you exceed your self-imposed credit limit it is very difficult to top-up. The last time this happened to me (which was 2 years ago) there was no warning I had low credit and I couldn't ring from my mobile to top up as my credit had run out which seemed ridiculous. As I had no land line at the time I had to resort to going in to a car phone warehouse. Additionally, there doesn't seem to be an easy way of keeping track of how much you've spent. Also cannot text/call in Europe.
General Comments
In general Fresh is handy for me as I have low mobile usage, use it mainly for short calls in the day and am not reliant on my mobile. I find it cheaper than a contract and less binding and more convenient than topping up
