This is one of the best ice creams I've ever eaten. To save money, I've tried buying Dreyer's instead, or the slightly cheaper Ben & Jerry's. No comparison! 1st, the base, always an important thing: the vanilla ice cream tastes nearly as good as my grandma's homemade vanilla ice cream. The chocolate chips aren't just an afterthought, like those in the Dreyer's I tried; they are good-quality dark chocolate, big enough to remind one what's so great about chocolate-chip ice cream to begin with. Add to this chocolate chip cookie dough that also tastes homemade (immediate sensations of buttery brown sugar greet the tongue, and you have an amazing ice cream.
1. I may never get down to a Size 4 now. 2. I wish they made it in bigger tubs. I can't complain about the price - I don't think they could maintain the quality without charging what they do. 3. I would prefer it if they made the ice cream with organic, additive-free milk. Since there's nothing about this on the label, I'm assuming I may be getting some hormones, etc., with my ice cream - the only downer.
Absolutely the one to get for a special occasion, to comfort/distract yourself, for birthdays, because your'e human...!
