General Comments

I bought one of these Olympus C-150 and at first found it to be a fairly decent digital camera on the whole.
When I started taking more serious photographs the C150 simply could not handle it. On close ups you are OK at about a foot, anything less than that starts to get fuzzy, a real close up of about 5cm was terrible. Still at the price it is not a bad camera, I would not recommend it for anything more than an every day snapshot camera.
Photo quality was OK, but a little hazy/fuzzy around the edges.
It did not work too good on indoor low light conditions using flash, pictures were too dark.
If you take a photo on flash get within about 6 feet of subject to get decent results.
Battery life is very poor, even struggles a bit on ni-cads (ni-mh) compared to other cameras in its class.

This is an odd review. Slags it off and then gives it good marks.

The LCD image is perfectly fine.
The photo quality is very good.
Macros are not "very blurry" - perhaps if he read the manual he would see the minimum distance it will be good at.

Run with the other reviewers. This is a great wee camera and I now see it's down to £90 or less which is a complete bargain.

If you want to do "serious things" with it then you might be better off with a Canon Powershot A60 which is down to £99 or less, has a full manual mode and an optical zoom, which the Olympus doesn't. However, the C-150 is a fine intro to digital, especially if you read the manual.

I have read the manual throughly.
My findings are based upon this camera and others in its price range, and out of the 6 I tried this one is the worst of all.
But as I stated, "It is OK as a simple point and click family/kids camera. Anything else and it just cannot cope.

Havers. If you're taking pictures at 5cm when the manual clearly states 20cm is the minimum distance then you haven't read the manual "throughly" (sic).

It's a beginners digital camera that much is true but it's a really good one so don't criticise things unfairly.

    Over and out.

As I said I read the manual thoroughly and the macro shots at 20cm compared to other cameras in its class/price range is very poor. Pictures on normal are a little hazy. I have used 1.3mp cameras that the photos are by far better quality.
For the price of it compared to other cameras it is rubbish. It is cheap looking, plasticky and very light in weight, that alone makes it feel like cheap tack.
Try a Canon A200 for instance, that is now even cheaper than the C150, and it will leave the c150 standing in every aspect.Like I said Its ok for a child but anything else, forget it. Seems like you bought one and just don't like to read a bad review. Sorry if it upsets you, but if you tried a decent camera you too would notice the difference immediately.
