Good Points

Reasonable price - £10 for a 3 litre box.
It was red.


Bad Points

It was insipid, much lighter than described, much less fruity and tasted embarrassingly cheap and nasty. It could not possibly be described as anywhere near full bodied, although it was marked'D'on the box.
I am extremely disappointed with my purchase. I am not a regular ' ˜easily moved to complain' type of person.
I am bewildered as to why a company of your standing and history would proudly display your name on a box of less than average red wine.


General Comments

It was the probably the most disappointing wine I've tasted for some years. AND that includes £2.20 per bottle reds from Netto/Aldi/Liddle which I bought one bottle to try. They haven't been very good but they were all better than Stowells Bulgarian Cabernet Sauvignon. I wrote 2 emails of constructive review/complaint to Stowells - but sadly they haven't even had the courtesy to reply to me. It seems this company is far from the proud, professional company it used to be.
