Good Points
Caravan was lovely (it seemed practically brand new) -spotless and smelt lovely, the shower was excellent with lots of hot water. The view of the water and hills was beautiful from the window as we were high up. The pool was very clean as were the changing areas. The restaurant has a lovely outlook and the food was very nice and not any more expensive than anywhere else.

Bad Points
None really - it would have been nice to have been allowed to take inflatables into the pool (apart from arm bands which are allowed) - however I dare say that in the past it has got out of hand which is probably why they have stopped it.

General Comments
We will definitely be booking at this site again next year having just returned from a very enjoyable 3 day stay - I don't know if the chalets are as good as the caravans but they looked fine from the outside. I personally was very glad that our caravan was right up at the top of the slope away from the entertainment centre and the sports court which had high metal link fencing all the way around with the result that if you had a caravan right opposite this court all you would hear is the ball bashing the fence every 2 seconds which would probably drive you mad! Where we were was very quiet indeed but could be tricky if you are disabled etc - it isn't really a hill as such - but had me puffing a bit but I certainly wouldn't come into the fit category by any stretch of imagination! The majority of people could almost run up it and not notice.

I was concerned having read one of the other reviews that the staff may be less than helpful but they were either unlucky or we were lucky as without fail, from the restaurant staff to the reception staff everyone was very polite, happy and helpful at all times.

Very nice break and loads of other things to do nearby - we visited the small animal zoo in Shaldon which was very interesting and took the ferry over to Teignmouth where we spent the day on the pier etc.

I would definitely do self-catering some of the time when we go next year. The restaurant is not over-priced at all but when you are on a limited budget it soon adds up if you eat there all the time.

I thought the take-away was a good alternative - fish and chips were about £4:50 and you could either take them back to the caravan or eat them at one of the many picnic tables overlooking the river.

Lovely break.
