Powerful and very nimble. Super sound system.
Tie Rod every now and then need to be replaced...keep those wheels well-balanced. Sun-roof has a rust problem-take it apart and paint it to prevent corrosion. Gas consumption: 12-14l/100 in town, 7.2-8.0l/100 hwy@110km/hr; ie...costly if u're in a hurry.
The Volvo S70 was best car I've ever had. Had two 740's previously. S-70 is now 10 yrs old with 255,000 km and still goes well. Still running original shocks very acceptable at ordinary highway speeds. Maintenance (to keep it in top shape) about $2500/yr which is much less than the 740's cost.
