I have had this gun for around six years i have brought it everywhere one my outdoor trips and i have only had one problem lose of velocity which i fixed with the crosman peligun oil it has a lot of power and out of my 22 pellets guns i would definitely trust this gun its great accuracy and power takes almost any pellets easy to clean and if u ever got lost u could probably get small game up close which i have a rabbit about 8 feet away when i was in a tree stand 4 shots with pred pellets and it was down for sure in secs and u can load co2 and fire without having to fire once before to get the air through it so u got sneaky on your hands its great i never go air gun hunting without my 1008 pistol now but remember u only got hunting velocity up close and with in the first 8 shots just remember to use ur peligun oil reasonably
