No staff to check the car when it was returned.Subsequently billed £170 for damage to the car even though I checked it myself and found no damage.
I hired a car from Europcar at Manchester airport.
When I returned the car no staff were on duty to check the car. I checked the car myself and found no damage. I returned the keys to the desk. The guy behind the counter seemed upset that I had interrupted his mobile phone call. A week later I received a letter informing me that I had been charged £170 for damage with no explanation. I phoned I was told there was a scratch on the car.
I had insurance for excess from Easycar hire so I can claim it back, but there was no damage to the car and they made no effort to contact me inform me of charges despite having all me contact details.
I will avoid Europcar in future.
