We have a large dog...the cleaner is perfect for dog hair both in the house and in our car. I am always amazed after each use by the amount it has picked up.
Bad Points
Plastic fatigue in tank door and top of the vacuum. Small hairline cracks and chips.
General Comments
It seems that much of the plastic has small cracks and is beginning to loose little chips each time I use it. We bought the animal machine 4 years ago and I have truly loved it with the exception of the plastic fatigue. We were told that the plastic is not covered by the warnity.

This is the reason I opted for the Dyson DC03. It's a mean looking machine, but very stylish and innovative. The handle on this Dyson can be separated from the main body to use as the 'hose and wand'.
