We visited Thorpe park on 2nd May 2008 as a party of 9 with ages ranging from 3 years to 37 years! We found rides that everyone could try, and the park was clean and tidy and the toilets plentiful, good if you have five kids with you
Most of the drink refill points were closed and the ones that were open had very slow service in fact that was the longest we spent in a queue all day.
Having read the reviews and spoken to other people before we set off, I was worried about coming here with such young children. However the ones over 1.4 had plenty to ride on and even braved Stealth. I would say if you are going as a family with little ones and bigger kids then this park is okay but if you only have little kids then Chessington World of Adventures is probably a better bet.
My only other comment would be is to make sure you take waterproofs are you are sure to get wet!!!! If you have a child with a disability (bring proof) as we do make sure you register with guest services to receive your priority passes to avoid the queues. We have visited CWOA and Alton Towers in the last two months as first time annual pass holders and have found them all enjoyable
