Good Points

Bluing on the new Turkish models much better. Quality has improved on previous Turkish models.

Bad Points

Appalling trigger. Tru glo sights are plastic. Unable to push off safety and decock the rifle unlike the older version. Forward trigger guard screw bears directly into the stock-totally unacceptable for a gun of this power. If you like a recoilless PCP do not buy this gun! Loud report on firing, discretion required when using in the back yard!

General Comments

Bought this rifle new in April, Webley have made a few changes. "Tru glo" sights which are of plastic construction, the foresight is actually pressed onto the muzzle unlike the old metal sights, so if you drop the gun and break the sight -oh dear!

The stock is subtly redesigned, the wood is of good quality and the fit to the metalwork is excellent. The pistol grip no longer has the white spacer and end cap. The stock screws at the fore-end are horizontal and are larger than previous models, Webley have attached a "u-shaped" bracket under the cylinder to accommodate this change. The screws still shake loose!

Instead of scope rails we now have a Weaver rail that is attached to the top of the cylinder (this looks not unlike a piccatiny rail) which should negate the need for a scope stop although Webley provide one with the rifle.

The trigger is now gold plated and is without doubt the worse feature of the gun. Although a 2-stage trigger it is not adjustable and is very heavy with a lot of creep, this was done because the US distributor wanted the gun to pass a "drop test"-Webley have acknowledged that they defiled the trigger quality as a result.

As expected of a gun of this power it requires effort to cock, I did not find it too hard. The auto safety is truly ambidextrous which as a lefty I highly regard. Shooting the gun reveals a fair amount of recoil but I did not give me too much trouble-if you're used to shooting PCP you're in for a rude awakening!

Once I tightened the stock screws I was able to group about 1" at 25yds with open sights. Regretfully due to a nicked breech seal, plus velocity that was about 250fps below the norm, an appalling trigger and a trigger guard screw that had been stripped in the stock by the factory I decided to return the gun for a refund.

This is a shame as I can see that the new Webley's are getting better. Webley should have worked on improving the quality to par with the UK models using the old design before they started making changes. Looks like I'll get a used UK model or wait until Webley truly have it sorted.
