Fastest hatchback you will find other than the new scooby sti hatchback. Extremely reliable and engine will run for years. easily tunable and resonably cheap to do.
The interior is starting to look pretty old in there now but dont let you put this off because you wont find a better car for twice the money.
This car is an animal, not many half decent cars can keep up with the staggering 0-60 time of 6.9s for the EP82 which is identical to the 0-60 of a BMW 330ci. The Toyota Starlet GT is also easily tunable and with a resonable amount of money spent on good aftermarket parts you could be running around 180bhp with 1 bar boost, which let me tell you form my own experience is a lot and provides serious acceleration. You will pick up a good condition EP82 with a few stage 1 mods such as filter, exhaust as well as alloys and uprated springs for around £3500 in the current market, which is a BARGAIN for what you get!
