Good Points

for price, high pixels (5.0)
3x zoom
power saver when camera is on for long periods
can review photos & zoom in on photos on screen
don't have to turn camera on & off when switching modes
takes good low light pictures
can pre-focus pictures & view them on screen
can take close up photos and be clear in proper mode
camera is light (7 oz)
has date stamp
has 6 camera modes for different photos

Bad Points

have to purchase too many accessories, Kodak provides no support if you don't purchase "Kodak only" products
batteries run out fast, don't use reg. AA batteries, must have special Ni-MH AA or CRV3 lithium batteries (expensive)
if you don't have the docking station, printing software is hard to naviate. Like saving to a different file location, pulling out photos for other uses, choosing what pictures to print, making albums.
when pre-focusing photos, has a long time lag, photo can be missed when taking action shots

General Comments

Overall, for the price, I guess the Kodak Easyshare DX4530 is an okay digital camera. If you need to take close up pictures (within 2 feet), it works better than most cameras I've used. I feel Kodak makes you buy too many accessories to get the total use out of the camera. You might think about purchasing a more expensive camera that has the accessories. It's almost geared to be worked only with the Kodak docking station and printer dock and not a USB cable to PC. It doesn't come with rechargeable batteries, docking station, case, or AC adapter. Personally, I'd wish I would have gotten a different camera and brand.

I purchased this camera for Christmas from Wal-Mart in 2005. It has been a good camera for my 1st digital cam. But I did have several problems with it being new to it. But it was still under warranty so all paid was shipping twice. Which turned out pretty good and I put insurance on it too. Seems like Kodak could have done better but they did't. I paid about $200.00 for charging dock, camera, usb cable, batteries, and kodak easy share software CD. This was on sale without taxes. It is doing a good job for me. I need to purchase a stronger lens to add for better long distance shots .
