Unable to offer help or advice.
April 2008. With caravan, in farm paddock.. Car seven years old. Battery died so got a jump start and went off to buy a new one. Changed batteries and the car wouldn't start. Lots of chuffing and white (diesel) smoke. For the first time in over forty years of motoring called my Green Flag rescue service. Gave the registration number and the customer advisor said 'Citroen C5'. I informed her that I was in the old Xantia (same personal plate) having just transferred the details. Have been a customer for years. They couldn't do that, she said. I asked her to call one of their helpers for advice on restarting after a battery change. They couldn't do that. "OK, send the man and I'll pay the callout charges". They couldn't do that either, she said. Fifty mile trip to get the book and discover that it needs a ten second delay before startup after a battery change. All was then well-apart from my views on Green Flag. Will not be renewing my membership.
