Good Points

Great Atmosphere, Fantastic Rides, Good Space and plenty of amenities.

Bad Points

Queue Times, not a structure in place for people who do not want to go on the rides etc.

General Comments

I go to Alton Towers every year always about April time mid week when the kids are at school. I cannot get enough of it, when its not busy its fantastic, great value for money and always so much fun. However I have been in the summer holidays before and equally at a weekend and for £35 have only got on 4 rides in the whole day due to queuing for 4 hours on the big rides (not a pleasant experience) I would pay £35 at peak times as I think it is just to much money for what you get. We get the buy 1 get one free tickets so in essence we are only paying £15 each and the park is not busy. The last time I went was (01.05.08) and we went round the park 4 times going on everything 4-6 times...brilliant!!!!! Food is a bit slack and the portions are terrible but you expect that in a park like this, so we just snack rather than eat meals!! Best ride for me has to be Rita, always go on that first just to set you up for the day. Staff are friendly and happy to chat which makes the day so much nicer. Only 1 break down whilst we were there and we happened to be on it (Air) stopped whilst hanging like superman, but nothing to worry about and was resolved within minutes. Overall, love the park and will continue to go back every year and more! I think they need to structure a system that allows people who do not want to go on the rides have a discounted entrance fee etc. Although the Gardens are beautiful I would not warrant paying nearly £40 to look round them!!!
