I had a 1000x for about a year, I liked the power but hated the brick trigger, the truglo sights were pretty good too. But I wanted better accuracy so I topped it with a BSA 3-12 x44 air rifle scope. Got good results but the trigger killed it's potiential to be a tack driver. I attempted to lighten the trigger pull and after reasseymbeling I inadvertently crushed the small sear spring. I contacted Daisy and retuned it and got a replacement, a brand new rifle. This one has 1000 stamped on it not 1000x. I'm not sure what the difference is compaired the the previous rifle, but i can tell you that this trigger is ten times lighter and smoother than the previous air rile. Daisy is all that they say they are...One of the best in the business.

I would recommend this model. I know there are others out there like Gamo and so fourth, but this is the best that i have shot.
