General Comments

I have been with AOL for three years now and I really used to sing their praises but sadly they have really let standards drop since the end of 2007 for me personally. My problems began after I agreed to sign up to their offer for a phone and internet package which included a bump up in speed to as much as 8 meg, however I very soon started to get major problems namely frequent disconnection's (every 10 mins at one point) and very poor speed which most of the time felt like being back on dial-up in my opinion. I spent many hours talking to the help line and for the first time in my life ended up loosing my temper completely with some "technician" over the phone. For an example of the sheer ineptness of their workers one had such a bad command of English I was made to spell almost every word (A for awful, O for obtuse and L for loosing customers!), when you find an advisor with some skills they can do nothing but say it could be your: dsl filter, extension lead, bt line, other programs on your computer and even the phones in your household, basically everything but they cant provide what Im paying good money for as far as I am concerned. I do not recommend AOL Broadband.
