We bought a AC adaptor for our Garmin sat nav because we were buying a villa in SPain and even though we would probably hire a car when we were there we wanted to be able to use our Garmin sat nav over there withough problems.
Having an AC adaptor for Europe is useful for us, and for some of our friends because many of them have Garmin sat navs and when they stay they can use it easily enough which is convenient for them.
