Super finish and fit of components, excellent ergonomic stock that fits me just right.I always have problems with length of pull but this does it for me.
The magazine is easy to load and ticks round like a well calibrated time piece,it even tries to insert itself as Daystate have included a magnetic keeper in the action.
On shooting there is no movement at all if held correctly and I was putting up one hole, ten shot groups at 30m within ten minutes of getting zero.Noise from the muzzle with just the factory fitted moderator was a subdued "pop" and when I fitted a Parker-
Hale firearms silencer the only sound was the internal striker hitting the valve quickly followed by the sound of the pellet striking the target. Trigger is factory set but adjustable,I've left it as it came out of the box. Some may say that the rifle is a bit weighty for a PCP but it's fine for me,a bit of weight is an aid to accurate shooting.
Bad Points
I bought a hand pump to charge the rifle and getting it up to the 220 Bar level recommended was difficult at first. However there is a knack, you have to let your body weight do the work and now I've sorted that out I can look forward to getting a bit fitter before I go out hunting. An air bottle would obviously make life a bit easier.I would like to see sling swivels already fitted.
General Comments
I have wanted to own a Daystate for over twenty years and I must say that now I have one I am not disappionted.Everything about the rifle oozes quality and as far as accuracy and ease of handling are concerned I can recommend the X2.I have owned and used dozens of air weapons and few can match this Daystate.I know there are more sophisticated air rifles but I'm old fashioned,I like my guns mechanical!
