Customer service, especially the engineers Tesco use
After being with Tesco for a couple of years i was involved in an accident where a lady did not give way at a roundabout and smacked straight into the side of me, spinning my car onto the middle of the roundabout (and in doing so colliding with the drivers side of her car). After having to arrange recovery and hire car myself my car was taken to a local garage for inspection by the Tesco engineer. The lady took full responsibility for the accident and was very good at keeping me informed of progress with her claim. Her engineers had looked at her car and agreed that the damage at the front (from initial impact) was ok for repair AS WAS the damage to the front and rear wing (from when we span around together). However even with this the engineer tesco used didn't agree and said that the corresponding damage to the side of my car wasn't due to the accident and that it was there previously. Tesco took this to be the case, and did not even want to fight my corner let alone listen to my side of the argument. As my car was a right off the gave me the market value LESS the a balance due to the damage that was apparently nothing to do with the crash!!!!!! we have picture evidence, comments in writing from both the third party and other qualified engineers who say it is consistent with the crash and yet they still take the word of this one engineer over all of this!!!!!!! Still trying to get what i am owed, but its hard work!!!!
