The seats are hard wood but they do have booth/bench seats with cushions. There was no crab or lobster on the menue the day we went. One or our party requested the soup and asked if it had onions being told yes they ordered the smoked mackeral, the staff did not say that this was on a bed of onions. The mackeral was very nice though. I asked if they could do a starter of mussels , as it was shown as a main meal. Which they agreed to do.
When it came however it was a main meal portion and they charged the full price. It was a good job as the main meal I had was pan fried cod on a bead of rice with a broccoli sauce and small pieces of salmon (22.50). All in all a very small portion. On bringing the main meal out it was not what we ordered so had to wait for what we had choosen. The waiter was very apologetic, and gave us extra chocolates with our expresso coffee, which we though was really nice.
General Comments
We were at the Crab and Winkle last year in the evening time and having not booked they did manage to get us in. Good menu with variety of fish well cooked and presented. Staff pleasant and helpful. Good views of the harbour from the window seats. also has an outside veranda. Restaurant is light and airconditioned. Tables are well spaced apart. We joined the Diner Club online and got a free bottle on wine for doing so. By joining the club you get 10 percent of the fresh fish in the market downstairs.
