Good Points

I recently opened a mini cash ISA on line with ICE Bank. I was impressed with streamlined on line application process which had the option of disclosing passport and driving license numbers to avoid the need to post these documents for verification. So many on line banks now require much wirtten documentation which I do not like to send through the post. The application was immediately acknowledged and a welcome pack received within days with my user ID enabling me to access the account within 5 days of completing the application.


Bad Points

No bad points at all. I have not had any reason to use the call centre for any advice as the on line site is fully comprehensive.


General Comments

I have read much about this bank in both the Press and on the Internet. I have various acconts with different bank as I believe in finding consisently good rates. I was initially concerned at some reports that ICE Bank had problems due to the financial instablility in Iceland. After researching this myself I can find no evidence to support these claims and in my view there is a lot of innaccurate and 'scaremongering reports' about a number of foreign banks Everyone has to make their own decision but in my view ICEave is as secure if not more secure than most banks.
