Good Points
The food is good, plentiful, well-prepared and well-cooked. I would say the cuisine is mostly wholesome, traditional English in the best meaning of this desciption. It is also about right on the button for value for money. Good range of beverages.

Bad Points
Sunday lunchtime can be a bit crowded and therefore some delay in service, but so what esle should you expect? It is Sunday and meant to be a leisurely experience not fast food!

General Comments
The Square and Compass in North Rigton gives warm, friendly, relaxed and traditional English pub atmosphere; not over-bearing and pretentious like some places nor down-market and systemised like many other chain pubs. Good food at a fair price in comfortable surroundings.
