Comfortable, even over long periods, Cheap! And I am obliged to say that the quality seems to be at least on a par with my previous dailies (acuvue).
Worth saying that I was happy with my acuvues dailies, which i wore for at least 8 years. I tried other brands and found them less comfortable. In the end I only tried these because they were cheap enough to toss in the bin if it turned out they really WERE too good to be true.
Ok I will put "packaging" but I have a tip that works all the time for me...read on.
Another bad point would be being obliged to wade through reviews in order to formulate an opinion but I took a chance DESPITE of some of those reviews I read and would like to put up the positives in order to redress the balance !
(1) So far I haven't had a damaged, torn or dry lens in 3 months. I'm not saying others didn't, just that I haven't. They feel "instantly right" on insertion too. I'm the kinda guy who will pop out a lens and start again if it doesn't feel spot on so these save me time and reduce frustration.
(2) The packaging IS irksome and I would contend that following the advice given for removing a lens (putting your finger in to have the lens stick to the tip whilst trying not to touch the lens with your nail) may in fact be the reason behind some of the claims for damaged/torn lenses.
BUT if you buy some SALINE SOLUTION you can SQUIRT a little into the "pot", aim under the lens and MAKE THE LENS FLOAT OFF THE BOTTOM. A reasonably sharp tipping will see the lens deposited in the palm of your hand without the need to "impale" it with your finger. If you use enough solution to have the surface tension of the liquid stand proud of the pot this is, to all intents and purposes, foolproof.
Saline solution is cheap, essentially the same compositin as human tears and available from reputable companies such as Bausch and Lomb so I'm not suggesting anything crazy here. I used the same method with my acuvues as the lenses sometimes got "stuck" on the bottom with their pots too. Having some solution also means you can "jetwash" inside out lenses to the right way around without actually touching them. And for really smooth insertion, put a drop in the lens...works like a charm.
SO, 9 out of ten because the quality and price far outweigh the problem which I have adressed above, since the solution (excuse unintentional pun) is cheap and readily available. Hope this helps you make up your mind to try these lenses. I would recommend them to even the most ham fisted user IF they use the method I describe above.
