Good Points

Uniqueness, the monster was very convincing and the creatures that dropped off of it were nothing short of creepier. Very interesting from the get go all the way to the end. Very exciting, kept my interest all the way through. I liked the name and the reason for the name. That was what gave it its most appealing uniqueness. I liked that you never learned the origin of the monster. I liked that it was probably lower budget, ie... no names, no special effects. It is good to see that we don't have to have a multi million dollar film in order to be moved by a film.

Bad Points

Hard to watch from the camera's angle if you have the slightest bit of motion sickness. At some point that camera should have dropped particularly when they they were going back for the girl and had to climb across the beam into a partially collapsed building. Also, the girlfriend was impaled by an object of some sort but was moving extremely well; one of the young men really jacked up his leg when the chopper crashed yet was able to do a record splitting 50 yard dash to temporary safety.

General Comments

I didn't go into this movie with high expectations. I just wanted a good ride. It certainly delivered that. Any bad criticism I gave was just from an observational stand point and certainly didn't affect the way I thought of the film. I thoroughly enjoyed this film. I am a sucker for happy endings so I was disappointed that almost all the kids died in the film. Still, every now and then I watch a film that ends unhappy and I am completely OK with it. Especially when I am prepared for that. The intro of the movie pretty much pepped me for it.
