Everything!!
Have had a pay monthly contract for about 4 months - the contract is in my name but the phone is my daughters who is 15. A couple of months ago she came to us to tell us that she didn't think her minutes were decreasing as they should. We phoned orange to be told that the automated service as of the time and date given was correct. We therefore told her that there wasn't a problem but to keep an eye on her minutes. Later in the month she came to us again as she was concerned that the automated balance was wrong again and I checked on line where it was showing plenty of minutes left. A few days later her service was put on hold. I rang Orange to be told that we owed over £1000!! We have been in dispute for a month, have taken advice from Consumer Direct who told us that they are in breach of contract and to write to them which we have on several occasions as well as fax and phone. We have had now written letter back basically saying that we are in the wrong and that there was nothing wrong with their automated service. We argued that we would not have run up such a bill if it had been correct. My husband has been ringing them on a daily basis and now apparently it has gone to the top and back down and they can do nothing. All that we are asking is that we compromise but oh no that's too hard. Yes, my daughter made the calls but she wouldn't have done if the balance had been correct. The bill is all over the place - the contract minutes were being used against some calls and not others throughout the month but they still won;t have it that there is something wrong with their computers their end!! Other suppliers warn their customers if they go over their limit and apparently Orange used to but do so no more - I wonder why... a very disgruntled naive parent...
