I experienced bad mattresses, bad furniture, bad customer services and no resolution offered as yet


General Comments

We purchased an order to value of £2300 from Dreams Plc in March. The mattress, £900, is has caused us considerable physical discomfort. It has gone from being like a stiff board to sagging in the middle, offering no support, extremely uncomfortable on both counts. The bedpost has a large crack in it, the holes drilled on boards and sides mismatch, the mirror brackets are insufficient for weight of mirror and, both chests of drawers have cracks in bases of drawers. We have emailed, written and called customer services several times, including sending photos of the damaged goods, requesting collection of everything and a refund which they finally agreed to on 21/04/08 and arranged 28/04/08 as a collection date. To our astonishment, they called yesterday, 23/04/08, to say they will not be going ahead with this. I have ME and am really unwell as a result of not getting any sleep. We have paid a lot of money to ensure my comfort and we have found the products supplied are dreadful. The customer services are equally appalling. We have pointed out to Dreams that they are beholden to refund us and collect the goods under The Sales of Goods Act 1979 as amended but they are ignoring this. We purchased the goods by credit card and have spoken to our credit card company who said the goods must be returned before they can take the matter up with Dreams but we cannot come to an agreement with Dreams over collection.
