No phone calls to arrange delivery

General Comments

This is the first time that I had ventured into the unknown and ordered from Additions.

I placed an order for a futon bunk for my 6 year old daughter, this item was picked by her.

I placed the order online on 13/04/2008 and paid in full (can't afford their hefty interest charge for the credit)! The printout from the internet stated 'Expected delivery by Thursday 24 April. I rang Additions on 23 April to check on the delivery status, they could not give me a firm guarantee as to the exact date of delivery! I was furious. I had wasted a day of my annual leave, they had my money and I had no goods and I was still none the wiser.

I took a phone call on 24 April to state that my item would be delivery on 25 April, I was told that messages had been left on my answerphone regarding this delivery, this was completely untrue as I had checked my messages daily in the hope that I could find out more.

I had enough - I requested a cancellation but was advised not to take this action because it would take 14 days to credit my account. WOW no goods, poor service and I even have to wait for my money back and no apology received what so ever yet as far as I am aware. So any of you reading this, if any of you would like to have some of my money for 26 days to gain a little free interest then please just ask.

This has been the most unhelpful service that I have received and would never buy from Additions again. I do not recommend Additions, I just have to explain to my 6 year old that she won't be getting the item that she wanted after all.
