Slimming World Review

Good Points
I was never hungry on this diet. With so many 'free' foods to eat there was always something to have.

General Comments
This diet is great. As with all diets you do need comitment. I started in July 2006 and by November 2006 I had lost 2 stone. If you are a fussy eater any diet wil be difficult to stick to. If you're not fussy then it really can work for you. I lost 6 pounds in my first week, kept it off and never looked back. My mother in law started a month after me and she has just received her 3 and a half stone award. If you like food then this is the one for you. Basically you put less calories in than you use - same as any diet, but this doesn't feel like a diet because you never need to go hungry. At Weight Watchers for example fruit is subject to points which may stop you having it. At Slimming World fruit is free of such points (syns at Slimming World) therefore you can eat as much fresh fruit as you like - now that can't be a bad thing can it? The group meetings are informative and encouraging and your co-ordinator will have to be a Slimming World member. If your co-ordingator is stick thin then it's really worked for them. If they are overweight then they are still on their weight loss journey. Their weight is not the issue and you should not be put off by the weight of the co-ordinators. Some people have commented that their co-ordinator was overweight. They will probably have been even bigger, but as a Slimming World consultant they MUST food optimise until the are within an acceptable range. This means that they are experiencing what you are and know exactly what you are going through. All I can say is give it a go. Yes you do have to say goodbye to the cream cakes, but you don't really need them do you?
