I purchased the Kymco Movie 125 back in 1999. Traded the bike for a Kymco Xciting 500 in 2008. The KM125 was totally reliable for the nine years I had her. I only had to replace a battery once, but I was a fair weather rider only. Build quality was excellent, comfy to ride, handling was ace, started well even if left for 5 months idle over winter. It's a classic handsome looking scooter, that I really liked.
There is no windscreen. It's very quick for a 125 and really needs a more powerful breaking system. The speedo is in km's and that's all the negatives, but they are not that bad.
To sum things up, the Kymco Movie is a brilliant machine that is over-engineered. It could last someone along time. But during the nine years of ownership. I covered only 2500kms-1450 miles. It's a good looking machine that gave me lots of fun. I am aged 50 and was a big machine rider, Honda 1000 CBR and Yamaha FZR 1000 EXUP where my flagship bikes. The little KM125 gave me lots of fun on summer days. Initially I brought the scooter to get to the beach on during the summer. It did the job well!
