“This ship is like a comfy pair of slippers and to slip...”

Good Points
I can only comment on the first part of the world cruise- the 2008 Winter Crossing and the 3 Queens in New York. If only we could have stayed on board longer. Where to start to describe a happy /sad event. The staff were caring and friendly in a pleasant way.
Cpt McNaught was an aproachable person with a devotion far beyond the call of duty, and it reflected in his crew.

Bad Points
This will be the last Winter Crossing and World Cruise so this is the major bad points of the events. Sometimes we only got the party line for answers, but not that often. This is a lovely ship and is being turned into a floating hotel in a distant land and we will never hear that comforting creaking hull again.

General Comments
This ship is like a comfy pair of slippers and to slip into this ship is to be in a homely relaxed atmosphere. On sea days there has been so much to do that there is never a dull moment. I even had a go at painting with water colour and as usual the teacher was of a high standard.

Many friends were made mainly through the chat on Cruise Critic. For anyone with an interest in Cunard we are all now chatting on Cunard Critic the one stop for everything Cunard. Our special, unique happening was the three Cunard Queens meeting in NY by Liberty. The music from the ships matched perfectly with the firework displays. The cold pouring rain could not spoil the moment.
