Good Points

Initially the cost was competitive


Bad Points

Making a claim was a nightmare !!!!!!
initial claim lost had to call again 2/3 days later when no one from Budget called us confirm the claimlaim as they said they would - 3 different depts to make claim - all areas of co said would ring back within agrd timescales and no one ever rang back - hire car co unhelpful and tried to charge for damage they say was made to car whilst we had it some 3 mths later with no vehicle rp[t outlining damage completed when car returned - outstding items on repair never fu by repair co, we had to chase ongoing - budget will not talk to you about claim just trf you to sub co's who just blame each other for what is happening- no one took ownership & left to feel very alone and not in control of your own ins- told some 9 mths later settld 50/50 but this had not been agrd by us & had a letter offering 70/30 so now more phone calls everyone blaiming everyone else- finally found someone prepared to take control at underwritters


General Comments

Budget cust servcie when making a claim was the worst I have ever come across. I work in the financial services industry and beleieve that cust serv is paramount to bus retention.
Budget do not care !!!!!
Whenever you ring them they just pass you on to another co re underwritter/ legals/uninsured losses.
They can do nothing as it is all done by separate Co's who all have their own proceedures and they own systems to be followed.
But I insured with Budget, you are who I deal with., whose numbers I ring, surely what I pay for in my insurance is for you to do the work for me, not me to do all tgha calls to indiv co's through areas i do not unbderstand as I do not deal with this every day.
Give me one persons name who i come back to because thay are doing all this calling & liasing between your sub co's for me, but no that is my job !!!!
It is a confusing, time consuming and frustrating process to which as yet I am to receive a solution !!!!
Needless to say at renewal I have taken my bus elsewhere !
The only recommendation I would make re Budget ins is to go elsewhere as this is not Budget Ins, it is DIY !!!!!!!!!!
