Close to home, not that busy at off peak times.
Very tatty gym, not what I would expect from a private run gym which costs anything from 75 pounds upwards a month. Unfriendly trainers in the gym.
I have been a member of the gym in Dartford since it opened. I actually left a very nice gym, because Next Generation was closer to me and practically on my door step.
The gym area itself is not that big and the machines are very crammed in. When something breaks it takes ages for it to be fixed. Things are never replaced, just patched up.
In the 5 years I have been going they have not once replaced any of the machines so its all looking very tatty and out of date. Which is also why things break down so often.
The TV's are really looking old, no flat screen ones at the Dartford branch. Most of the devices which you have to insert your headphones into, so you can hear the tv, or listen to music are either missing or do not work.
You can complain all you like, but nothing ever changes or gets done. Very poor customer service.
The gym staff are the most unfriendly I have ever come across. They rarely smile or talk to you. They are only interested if you pay for personal one on one training. I'm no expert but I see countless people using the machines incorrectly, but the staff never approach people and tell them how to use the equipment properly.
The tennis courts look okay though and the inside pool is quite large, but its the gym that I mainly use.
