Brewers Fayre
Telford Lodge, Kettering, Kettering - 20/04/08 4pm
When we arrived the tables were full of dirty plates. No clean tables were prepared. Finally cleared our own, but had to sit next to the table we piled it up on for our whole meal as nobody came to clear it. Tables were sticky, chairs were filthy, old cuttlery on the floor, napkins on the floor, menus on the floor, mouldy chip on the floor, tatty menus, sticky vinegar bottle, gravy stained salt and pepper pots. Took an hour to get our food which had obviously been sitting around waiting to be taken out as it was cold. The sausages were dried out on the ends and the lasagne had a skin on it. Also the waitress who brought the food to us had more food on her uniform than on the plates. Not just our food may I point out, but dried on food from who knows when?! A totally off-putting visit.
General Comments
We won't be vising a Brewers Fayre again. It was not a place we felt comfortable eating it. Hygeine was obviously not high on their list of priorities. Yak!!!!!

Firstly, its a Brewers Fayre and 4pm, thats can be bad combination. Pub chains like this precook their meals and they may sit there all till they are sold, but secondly and most importantly why, after spotting these things were wrong in the pub did you still eat there.
You say that hygiene may not have been on their list of priorities, well if you ate their food it may not be in your list either.
