To me they are just a store like any other with no particular good points coming to mind.
Poor customer service.
Took my elderly mother to buy a vacuum cleaner last year, it was faulty and the local Comet store replaced it (after phoning Hoover to discover fault was not repairable). The replacement has now broken down (different vac and different fault) and Comet are just not being helpful enough with the result that I have contacted Consumer Direct West Midlands so I can either get Comet to replace or repair it on her behalf.
