There is NOT one good point about this company in my opinion!
I was bought a JVC GRD50e camcorder for xmas. Opened it on xmas day and it was broken! The carriage wouldn't allow a tape to be inserted. (Error code 04)
I then waited 2 weeks before someone was back at the shop as it was ordered over the net and i had to constantly phone SVC direct.
The sales assistant explained that a replacement couldn't be sent out to me as they didn't have my model in stock. I then reminded him that i hadn't even given him the manufacturer name let alone the the model number - so how did he know that my camera wasn't in stock?
After paying £8 in postage to send the faulty camera back to them, i received a replacement 8 days later. I opened the "quality sealed" box took the camera out and proceeded to charge it. GUESS WHAT??? - The replacement camera i was sent is ALSO FAULTY! This one wont charge up. I have performed a continuity test on the charger and its fine (outputing 11v) So there is a fault with the battery pack now and i still dont have a camera!!!
Now im going to have to pay ANOTHER £8 in postage to send back the SECOND faulty camera in order to gat my money back! (nearly £340!!!!)
All in all, ive wasted nearly a month in trying to get a camera that works from SVC direct, and it looks like im also short of £16 in postage to send back 2 faulty units to them!!! When i get my money back, im going to go to somewhere like Dixons and pay over the odds for a camera that i know will at least work and if it doesn't, at least i can get it exchanged there and then!!!
WHAT A WASTE OF MY TIME AND THE PERSONS MONEY WHO BOUGHT THE CAMERA FOR ME!!!!
Just see the bad points - as i cant review my cameras as both that were sent to me from svcdirect.co.uk were broken!
